The Savannah Experience: Nature's Best Kept Secret

Hey Dolls!!
Today I want to talk to you about a new collaboration I'm working on with Savannah Hair Therapy.
How many time have you wish for healthy, luscious, silky, shiny and smooth hair?? Well look no more.  I want to introduce you to this expert line call Savannah. The success of this line its nature’s best kept secret, better known as Shea Butter. When cracked open, the Shea Butter nut reveals butter rich in vitamins A, E and F, essential fatty acids, proteins and cinnamic acid. These natural properties is what provide intense moisture, promote cell renewal, increase scalp circulation and protect against harmful UV rays and free radical damage.
Savannah Hair Therapy offers a complete range of hair care products with all natural Shea Butter that penetrates deep into the hair and scalp to moisturize, prevent breakage and smooth the texture and appearance of dry, coarse or chemically processed hair. Savannah Hair Therapy's ultra-rich Shea Butter products nourish the hair for a richer, shinier and healthier look and feel.

They have a very complete line with different products.  It doesn’t matter whether you have frizzy unmanageable hair, if its chemically treated or if you just want to give your hair a restart and a most needed boost the Savannah Hair Treatment line has something that will work for you.
I had a chance to try 3 of the line products and I must say I’m IN LOVE with them and their results.

The first one I tried is the Shea Butter POP Treatment which is made of 60% Natural Keratin and is a Moisture Repair treatment.  This unique treatment complex contained in a spray ampule rehabilitates and coats the hair shaft, creates a protective layer against climate damage and nourishes, restores and rejuvenates the hair's natural moisture which is compromised by chemical treatments.  After rinsing this product of your hair you simply go on to style it at usual.  You will instantly notice a smoother, silky and shiny hair that looks instantly restore and trust me when I say the results last as long as 4 weeks.

The second product I tried from this line is the Shea Butter Treatment Mask. This intense conditioning formula is produced from the Shea nut that leaves ultra-dry, coarse or unruly hair manageable, soft and strong against damage. Shea Butter contains high concentrations of vitamin A, E and F, amino acids and keratin, creating a unique complex that restores hair to its healthy state. The natural Keratin in this products delivers softness, flexibility and brilliant shine, while the amino acids assist in the production of proteins that soften, nourish and strengthen hair fibers.

Last but not least I got the chance to try the Shea Butter Treatment Oil.  This was applied to me after the shampoo and rinse process on to my damp hair and after that it was simply styled as usual.  The Shea Butter Treatment Oil is produced from Shea Butter nut, a natural source of keratin that coats the hair and imparts softness, flexibility and brilliant shine. A high concentration of exceptional ingredients including vitamins, silk proteins and amino acids penetrate the follicle, restoring damaged hair from root to tip. If you hair is greasy like mine, be calm and do not panic since this remarkable oil is easily absorbed and does not leave a greasy residue. Initial application will create brilliant shine and leave hair feeling soft and manageable. Continued use will nourish, hydrate, strengthen and return vitality to dry damaged hair.

I have very fine, brittle and delicate hair and I have to say this trio is the slam dunk of new hair products.  They are natural products which would help any type of hair.  It doesn’t matter if you think you have very healthy hair the truth is the air, pollution, hot tools and every day harshness constantly attacks and damages every strand of hair we have.  So take a look at this line and make them a part of your hair beauty routine.

Let me know what you think!  What are you secrets to beautiful hair?

Happy Styling!!

Coconut Hair -- Coconut Oil Moisture Treatment

Hey Fashionistas!! We are all dying to have beautiful, healthy hair right? Hair can feel brittle with the dry air, sun and the continuous use of heating tools can do some serious heat damage to our lovely locks!

I have a cure; a secret that I stumbled on a few years ago and have been loving ever since!

I have been using coconut oil in my personal skin care since I was 16 and let me tell you how GREAT it is for your hair as well!

A few years back in a desperate search to find a cure for my brittle hair, I came across a few articles recommending coconut oil as a moisture treatment. As I dug deeper I found that coconut oil is the oil our hair can absorb better than any other. Coconut oil is meant to be used as a “Pre-Washing” Moisture Treatment. I will walk you through the simple steps for giving your hair that pure moisture it is thirsting for! All you need is: Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, a Clip or Elastic, a Shower and a Cap Hair Dryer (optional).
Scoop out a handful of organic virgin coconut oil. The amount will depend on the thickness of your hair and how long it is.  The important thing about this treatment is to do it with your hair dry.  It cannot be wet since it will repel the oil and your hair wont absorb any. I tend to do it once every 2 weeks or so right the day before I intend to wash my hair, or if I have time during the same day I intend to wash my hair.

Once you have that scoop The oil will begin to melt at the touch of your skin, there is no need to heat the oil before application. It will melt as you massage it into your hair.  They way i do it is I divide my hair into sections and start from the bottom up, to take sections of my hair and apply the coconut oil.  Saturate your hair completely, focusing on areas that are dry.  Once all you hair is full of this amazing oil, comb through to make sure you cover every inch and strand.

Once your hair is soaked with oil, twist your hair into a bun, braid or ponytail. If you decide to do it the night before you can make a braid and sleep it off, and simply wash your hair the next morning.  However, if you do it on the day you intend to wash your hair you can clip it in place by grabbing some hair from your scalp and part of the bun, or use a hair tie to keep it in place.

If you have the time to do this you can cover your hair with a shower cap. and if you wish choose to apply heat or not. Applying heat will open the cuticle of each strand so the coconut oil can penetrate the core faster. Leave the coconut oil on your hair for at least 30 minutes without heat, or 15 minutes with heat. You can use a hair dryer to apply heat over the shower cap. I like to rig a little system so I can sit on the floor and read or play with my kids! If I am busy and need to do other things I will leave the oil on my hair without heat.
Once your time is up wash and condition your hair as you normally would. You may need to wash your hair twice to rinse away all of the oil. I really focus on my roots and try to shampoo my ends as little as needed. Style your hair and be amazed at your soft, smooth hair!

Please Share with me any tips and trick about healthy hair and the use f coconut oil.  If you have your own routine please share it with the res of us fashionistas.

Let's Talk Hair

Hello Again Fashionistas.  So may of use have had one of them "Bad hair days" sometimes even weeks at a time.  I remember a time when my hair was naturally curly and beautiful without much effort.  well those days are gone thanks to heat tools, flat irons, dying and cutting, etcetera, etcetera.  I been trough a LOT with my hair, but I think is fair to say the way it is now its the healthiest its been in a long time.  But it took a lot of time, effort and money to get it to where it is now.

I love deep conditioning treatments.  even though my hair its greasy I try to use one at least once a week, to make sure all the styling wont break or damage my hair in the process.  I also try to cut my ends every 3 months.  I'm currently trying something out in which I go and cut minimal amounts of my ends every 3 weeks.  What this does is that maintains your ends looking healthy which also allows your hair to grow since technically there's nothing stopping it from doing so (aka split ends).

Anyways I wanted to share with you guys 2 Hair deep masque that I'm currently using and I'm totally in love with.  Like I said I love this products ad I have try many and this 2 are definitely part of my top 5 products.  They restore damage and dry hair without leaving it sticky or greasy.

Alter Ego Garlic Hair Mask Plus Vitamins

I know what your thinking. GARLIC?? That must stink! Well let me tell you it doesn't.  The product its not only amazing for your hair but it also smells good, it has some sort of sweet smell to it.  This hair mask its very good, I found it trough a relative and its one of the best things I have bought in my life.  It nourishes and restores your hair, leaving it silky and smooth without making it feel heavy or greasy.  You will see results from the first time you use, your hair will feel softer and look a lot more shiny. You can use it as a heat treatment and put a heating cap on it, or use it a a normal conditioning masque when you are taking your shower.  Garlic makes your hair stronger and healthier so go ahead and buy it! I bought at $25 from a hair professional salon here at Puerto Rico, however I did saw it on Amazon for at least $16.00

Brazilian Blowout
Acai Deep Conditioning Masque

This product is my second favorite.  It has an amazing smell but not only that it also de-frizzes your hair.  It reduces Frizz, controls your rebel "bad hair day" kind of look, leaves your hair feeling soft and silky and super shiny.  If you don't have the Blowout Treatment you can still use it ( I do) and it is very very good.  In Puerto Rico buying this at a store can be up to $45 a bottle, however I found it on eBay for a lot less I suggest you check it out there if you are interested.

Hope this information helps you & Happy Styling!!!
