If I was a Rich Girl.....

Hello my dear Fashionistas!!! I hope you all had an amazing weekend with your loved ones.  Today I want to talk to you about the Shoedazzle new Spring Collection GW.  This collection is made in collaboration with Gwen Stefani.  And as you can imagine  if you have been in contact with her other collection L.A.M.B. her style includes modern trends, different patterns, bright colors and bold designs.  I'm totally in love with the quality of the material and way too many of the designs.  Prices are very affordable and shoes are extremely comfortable. The collection not only has shoes, but also bags for your delight.  Here I include some pictures of some of my favorite designs and the link of where to find them.  Enjoy!!

Spice up your LBD

Hello Fashionistas!!! So WELCOME to the 1st day of Spring. Starting today say good bye to all those dark colors, cover ups and boots and hello to colorful dresses, floral prints, open sandals, bathing suits and bright lipsticks!!! So if you are anything like me, weekends means party, friends dinner, going out to eat or simply have fun with family. But of course, most for all can’t afford to buy a new dress, or a new outfit every day of the weekend. So how can we use the same dresses we have already and make them go into this season.
Today I want to give you little pointers on how to spice up your Little Black Dress (LBD) and make the most out of it. Not the answer you were hoping for?? Well the reason why the LBD is the MVP of any girls closet it’s because its possibilities are endless when it comes to reinventing it.

1. Pattern Stockings -- Whether you’re going out at night, or even maybe going to work, stocking can change an outfit. It’s a fun accessory that allows you to play with your dress ( or even black skirt ) making it different from the last time you wore it.

2. Add an embellishes collar-- This time I'm not talking about a necklace (although is included in this list) I'm talking about adding an embellished detachable collar to any of the high-neck dresses you already own. It’s a fun a cute way of making a simple dress look more sophisticated and totally cool.

3. Accessorize with a statement necklace -- NOW we are talking about a necklace and I must say this is one of my favs. I love big, in your face necklaces I think they are the perfect accessory to make your outfit go from boring to fun, from casual to edgy and elegant. And it just offers so so sooo many options to play with that I can’t help but be in love with it.

4. Style With A Metal Belt -- There’s no better way to show off your figure than to add a belt around the smallest part of your waist. It’s a fun and different accessory that will definitely turn heads.

Every color of the rainbow....

Hello Fashionistas!!! How many times have you turned away from an utterly glamorous pair of orange —or yellow, or green—heels with the lament, “But I’d have nothing to wear them with!”? Well, the buck stops here.  So many of my friends and family members aks me about "How do I wear a pair a red shoes?" or " I wont buy those orange shoes because I dont have an orange top to with it".  Well let me tell you, there is no rule as to having to be wearing the same color from head to toe, as a matter of fact it may be a little bit off and overwhealming at times.

I devised a quick and easy guide to wearing every color of the shoe rainbow. We’ll assume you know the most basic rule thumb: if your outfit has a color in it, your footwear can be any shade of that color. However, for more advanced tips, read on.  Im pretty sure your black pumps with the cracked soles and ground-down heels will thank you.

 RED

Goes Best With: Pink, orange, black and white, neutrals, navy blue.
Styling Tips: Red shoes are a great way to spice up a causal outfit but avoid pairing them with a racy ensemble. They offer enough sizzle on their own. Stay away from monochrome (red on red is overkill).

GREEN

Goes Best With: Brown, black, blue, neutrals, yellow.
Styling Tip: Believe it or not, green shoes are surprisingly versatile. Just try to keep red and orange out of the equation, unless you want to look like Mrs. Claus or a pumpkin, respectively.

 BLUE

Goes Best With: Yellow, neutrals, brown, white.
Styling Tips: Skinny jeans with a pair of blue shoes a shade lighter or darker than the denim is a no-fail look. It’s also worth noting that navy is like black’s punchier cousin; it adds a bit of color but at minimum risk.

YELLOW

Goes Best With: Any shade of blue, black and white, green.
Styling Tip: Although purple and yellow are complimentary colors, the two together can be a bold move (even if my hubby doesnt like it). This color can be tough to wear if you’re extremely fair, so if you have a hunch that your legs might look pasty, perhaps invest in a little self-tanner?

 ORANGE

Goes Best With: Blue, white, earth tones, red, yellow.
Styling Tip: Avoid greens, and purples (trust me, it’s like the fashion equivalent of wearing too much makeup). Orange shoes look great with tawny neutrals, tans, and beiges.  They provide a warm canvas from which the orange can really pop. If you’re wearing lighter shades, mix in some brown accessories for a cool 70’s boho vibe.

METALLIC

Goes Best With: White, red, purple, neutrals, indigo, black (for silver). Black, red, white, emerald, royal blue, burgundy (for gold).
Styling Tips: Whether you opt for silver or gold shoes, it’s best to stay away from bold prints and colors for the rest of your outfit and let the footwear, ahem, shine, if you know what I mean. Try matching your bag to your outfit instead of your shoes—one metallic piece is enough.

PURPLE

Goes Best With: Neutrals, navy, pink, green.
Styling Tips: A surprisingly chic combination? Purple and camo, it even surprises ME. Try a pair of plum-colored pumps with light-wash denim, a white top, and a camo jacket. Voila, purple perfection!

The Beauty and the blush....

Hello Fashionistas!!!  It’s a free world and I love that we all have free will to choose anything and everything we want, from food to what we wear, make up and even any blush shade we are in the mood to wear each day! But it is a fact of life that certain shades are more harmonious on some skin tones than on others. Why does it matter? Because when you find your perfect blush shade, no matter what eye shadow or lip color you choose, the blush becomes secondary and more of a natural flush, like you’re blushing.

So here’s a simple guideline in finding your blush bestie!

I know that many of us fall in between the 6 skin tone shades listed below, but as much as it kills me, I just can’t include all 5,682 different variations in skin tones in one blog post… But please don’t panic, just find the ones that you fall in between and decide if you have more of the cooler or warmer undertone version of the two tones.

PORCELAIN — APRICOT: Fair skin with warm undertones look gorgeous with this peachy-yellow shade and this one is our favorite.

IVORY — PALE PINK: Fair skin with cool undertones naturally work best with cool pinks like this one.

BEIGE– AMBER: Medium skin tones with yellow or olive undertones look beautiful with amber shades like these amber shades.

TAWNY — ROSE: Mixing medium to dark skin tones with cool undertones work harmoniously with the cool undertones of a rosy cream blush.

ALMOND — FUCHSIA: Dark skin tones with warm undertones surprisingly radiate more with cool bright pink blush shades than with warm shades. Try this favorite of ours.

EBONY — TANGERINE: Again, but this time with dark skin tones that have cool undertones, go for the opposite with a warm blush {tangerine} instead of a cool pink that tends to get lost. You have to defineatly take a look at this one .

And the winner is....

Hello Fashionistas!!!

The Academy Awards might be all about the films, but for us, it's really all about the red carpet fashion. From Cate Blanchett in Armani Privee to Jessica Biel in Chanel haute couture, here are my the top best dresseed ladies of the night.

Charlize Theron

Usually, I am not a fan of black on the red carpet, but in this Dior gown she really won me over. With a dramatic silhouette and accessorized perfectly, this gown was made for the Oscars stage.

Jennifer Lawrence

Even though she took a spill in yet another Dior gown, she still proves you can look beautiful while goin’ down. While everyone else decided to stick with a neutral palette, Lawrence wanted to be the lady in red. She looks like a winner to me.

Jessica Biel

In Chanel Couture, Jessica Biel pretty much coasted right over the competition. The only thing that would have made this look better would have been if she wore the accompanying sneakers to this look.

Kate Hudson

This one is DEFINEATLY my FAVORITE one!! Perhaps the best-dressed lady of the entire night, Kate Hudson wore a sexy Versace gown and wow, was it impressive. She went for a classic Old Hollywood look and killed it with this white gown.

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington has really perfected maternity style and in this gown by Jason Wu, she really nails it yet again. When this baby is born, he or she is destined to have some serious style.

Lupita Nyong’o

I think Lupita Nyong’o knew everyone was watching her tonight, which is why she went for this Prada dress that she helped design. A pale blue that reminded her of her hometown of Nairobi, Lupita looks like she feels at home in this dress and in the fashion spotlight.

Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts stunned tonight in white Calvin Klein. Way to go Naomi!

Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett wore a nude Armani Privee gown with white floral applique.
She practically floated down the carpet like the true goddess that she is.
