The Savannah Experience: Nature's Best Kept Secret

Hey Dolls!!
Today I want to talk to you about a new collaboration I'm working on with Savannah Hair Therapy.
How many time have you wish for healthy, luscious, silky, shiny and smooth hair?? Well look no more.  I want to introduce you to this expert line call Savannah. The success of this line its nature’s best kept secret, better known as Shea Butter. When cracked open, the Shea Butter nut reveals butter rich in vitamins A, E and F, essential fatty acids, proteins and cinnamic acid. These natural properties is what provide intense moisture, promote cell renewal, increase scalp circulation and protect against harmful UV rays and free radical damage.
Savannah Hair Therapy offers a complete range of hair care products with all natural Shea Butter that penetrates deep into the hair and scalp to moisturize, prevent breakage and smooth the texture and appearance of dry, coarse or chemically processed hair. Savannah Hair Therapy's ultra-rich Shea Butter products nourish the hair for a richer, shinier and healthier look and feel.

They have a very complete line with different products.  It doesn’t matter whether you have frizzy unmanageable hair, if its chemically treated or if you just want to give your hair a restart and a most needed boost the Savannah Hair Treatment line has something that will work for you.
I had a chance to try 3 of the line products and I must say I’m IN LOVE with them and their results.

The first one I tried is the Shea Butter POP Treatment which is made of 60% Natural Keratin and is a Moisture Repair treatment.  This unique treatment complex contained in a spray ampule rehabilitates and coats the hair shaft, creates a protective layer against climate damage and nourishes, restores and rejuvenates the hair's natural moisture which is compromised by chemical treatments.  After rinsing this product of your hair you simply go on to style it at usual.  You will instantly notice a smoother, silky and shiny hair that looks instantly restore and trust me when I say the results last as long as 4 weeks.

The second product I tried from this line is the Shea Butter Treatment Mask. This intense conditioning formula is produced from the Shea nut that leaves ultra-dry, coarse or unruly hair manageable, soft and strong against damage. Shea Butter contains high concentrations of vitamin A, E and F, amino acids and keratin, creating a unique complex that restores hair to its healthy state. The natural Keratin in this products delivers softness, flexibility and brilliant shine, while the amino acids assist in the production of proteins that soften, nourish and strengthen hair fibers.

Last but not least I got the chance to try the Shea Butter Treatment Oil.  This was applied to me after the shampoo and rinse process on to my damp hair and after that it was simply styled as usual.  The Shea Butter Treatment Oil is produced from Shea Butter nut, a natural source of keratin that coats the hair and imparts softness, flexibility and brilliant shine. A high concentration of exceptional ingredients including vitamins, silk proteins and amino acids penetrate the follicle, restoring damaged hair from root to tip. If you hair is greasy like mine, be calm and do not panic since this remarkable oil is easily absorbed and does not leave a greasy residue. Initial application will create brilliant shine and leave hair feeling soft and manageable. Continued use will nourish, hydrate, strengthen and return vitality to dry damaged hair.

I have very fine, brittle and delicate hair and I have to say this trio is the slam dunk of new hair products.  They are natural products which would help any type of hair.  It doesn’t matter if you think you have very healthy hair the truth is the air, pollution, hot tools and every day harshness constantly attacks and damages every strand of hair we have.  So take a look at this line and make them a part of your hair beauty routine.

Let me know what you think!  What are you secrets to beautiful hair?

Lets talk Brushes!!!! Real Techniques Brushes

My Favorite Real Techniques Brushes (1)

Makeup brushes. If you asked me 10 years ago, I would be like “Why do I need those, I have hands!” Now, I almost feel like I couldn’t live without them. The problem is, I like nice things and really nice makeup brushes can be expensive and that makes it difficult to build a nice collection. Thankfully Real Techniques brushes are here to save the day…

About Real Techniques: Real Techniques was founded in 2011 by 2 sisters, Sam and Nic Chapman who are both experienced makeup artists and the creators of the Pixiwoo channel on YouTube. Their goal with Real Techniques was to achieve unbelievable brush quality along with professional, interesting and fun education. They also make a ton of helpful videos demonstrating how to best use each brush!
Now, don’t get me wrong I do love my Sigma F80, (and the rest of them) but in all honesty I reach for these just as much if not more than some of my “higher end” brushes. They are all very soft and I have never had any issues with shedding. Also, these Real Techniques brushes are very easy to wash, unlike my Sigma which holds onto makeup a little harder.

Setting Brush:

Real Techniques Setting Brush

The Setting Brush is the first brush I ever bought from Real Techniques. I love to use it for applying concealer and lightly applying setting powder on my t-zone. These bristles are a tiny bit on the scratchy side, so giving it a quick rinse in conditioner after washing helps curb that issue. $7.99 at Ulta.

Expert Face Brush:

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

The Expert Face Brush is the second brush I bought from them and I had it sitting in a drawer for the longest time! Don’t ask me why. This has quickly become my go-to face brush for all foundations. I had been using my Sigma but I found that this gives a lot of coverage and it’s almost just as soft. I love using it with my bareMinerals Original Foundation. The only “issue” I have with these brushes is the wide base. It makes it difficult to fit into my brush holder, BUT they can stand on their own, so I just keep them separate for now. $8.99 at Ulta.

Bold Metals Blush Brush:

This Blush Brush is from their new Bold Metals collection. These are significantly more expensive, but I got it on sale.  This design is obviously much different, with it shape and rose gold platted finish. It does leave fingerprints but you are just going to have to expect and accept that fact if you buy these. This is soft but I wouldn’t say its that much softer than some of their other brushes. It has a medium density and the angled tip helps to precisely apply your blush (or bronzer.) $23.99 at Ulta.

Stippling Brush:

Real Techniques Stippling Brush

The Stippling Brush is the newest addition to my Real Techniques family and I’m so happy to have her. It’s great for applying foundations, blush, highlighter, and setting powder. You really can do everything with this 1 brush! I like to use it to get additional coverage by lightly stippling on more product for a flawless non-cakey look. I also love it for applying blush by stippling so you don’t disturb your makeup underneath. Again, this one has a wider base so its difficult to fit in my brush holder. $9.99 at Ulta.

I just showed you the face brushes today, but they have lots of eye brushes that people love too! If you are looking to add some great quality brushes to your collection for not a lot of money, then you need to try Real Techniques!

Do you have any Real Techniques Brushes? What’s you favorite affordable brush brand?

Milani | Moisture Matte Lipstick!

Milani Matte Lipstick Header
Hi dolls!!! I've been MIA since I was taking my not so fun Bar Exam.  But now that thats done let s go back to talking fashion, beauty and all pretty stuff.  I recently bought of a couple of the Milani’s Moisture Matte Lipstick shades and I liked the formula so much that I decided to tell you all about it.  Im a fan of Milani Cosmetics.  They are affordable, easy to find, and great quality items.
These new “moisture matte” lipsticks are infused with grape seed extract and they promise smear-proof wear and mega color that won’t budge. Milani also claims that this is a “matte that not only feels great (yes, you read that right – it’s actually comfy.)” I’m all about a comfy feeling matte, I mean who doesn't like that!!

I  own a few Milani lipsticks before this line, but never a matter formula before.  Also, I’ve heard they used to have a melon scent that a lot of people detested. So, if you are one of those ladies, you’ll be happy to know these don’t have that melon scent. Instead, they have a light vanilla scent that is pleasant but doesn’t linger too long.
The formula of these moisture mattes is pretty great. They are extremely pigmented and glide on very easily. They do give that matte finish, but they are still creamy enough where you can rub your lips together. It’s almost like a waxy chapstick feeling texture. They aren’t transfer proof but they will last you through a light meal and drinks without having to reapply.  Take a look below, I swatch them on the inside of my hand so you can see the color payoff from each one of these shades.

Milani Matte Lipstick Swatches

Matte Orchid:

Matte Orchid is a bold bright pink fuchsia shade. The intense colors last a long time, about 5-6 hrs on me and they leave a noticeable stain behind. When they were almost completely gone, the stain was clinging to some dry patches on my lips that I had to use makeup remover to get completely off.

Matte Naked:

Matte Naked is a cool medium taupe. When I tried Matte Innocence it was too light for me, so I decided to try Naked since it was a few shades darker. It works very nice with my skin tone and doesn’t make me look like a zombie from TWD! This shade lasted about 4 hours on me.

Matte Confident:

Matte Confident is a striking cool toned brick red. You now I LOVE my reds and this is such a sexy red! I think it’s a great red for any skin tone even for fair skinned girls and would be great for date night because of it’s long lasting formula. I also got about 6 hrs of wear from this shade.

Like I said, the formula of these is very nice. My personal favorites are Orchid & Confident (obviously.) The lipsticks retail starting at $5.99 and you can find them at CVS and Walgreens. Also, Milani is a cruelty free brand which is ALWAYS a plus!

What do you think of these Moisture Mattes? Have you tried any?
