Summer at Play!

Hello Dolls!!
Happy 1st of July!!! Summer is finally here and that means it’s time to talk summer makeup trends. If you live in Puerto Rico you know the temperatures have been pretty high.   Therefore, I've tried to keep looks and make up simple and fresh.  We also know summer is all about vivid colors but is safe to say the natural “no makeup, just pretty skin” look stays strong from spring into summer. Let’s take a look at some of the other summer makeup trends for 2015.

Mary Kay At Play Shadow - Liners
One key trend for eyes is colorful eyeshadow, with shades of purple dominating the color palette for summer. To get the look, try Mary Kay At Play® Shadow & Liner ($13 each) in Iced Lilac. The Mary Kay At Play® Shadow & Liners feature four expertly-paired shades for rich, true color payoff to intensify your eyes. The Liner defines while Shadow enhances…for an eye-catching look you’ll love. To use, apply shadow directly to lid and blend using fingertips or brush.  Next apply liner to lash line to define eyes. These ultra-creamy, ultra-gorgeous shadows and liners have a smooth glide over the eye area. Other available shades include Rebel Rose, Mint To Be and Caramellow.
Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Duo
A pretty blush is a must-have for me, regardless of the trend. This season’s look for cheeks is a rosy colored blush. The Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color Duo ($18) features a gorgeous matte blush and a complementary pearlized shade. I love the Ripe Watermelon Duo, which is a bright pink shade; other shades available include Juicy Guava, which is a coral shade and Spiced Poppy. These products have a Mineral Formula and were designed to provide rich, vibrant color in a single brush sweep. Apply the blush shade to the apple of your cheek and then the pearlized shade right above for a “lift” effect.
Mary Kay Lip - Cheek Stick
A key trend for lips this summer is a bright lipstain.  The Mary Kay At Play®  Lip & Cheek Stick ($10 each) in  Peach Pop, which is coral and looks amazing on sunkissed skin and gives a gorgeous look to lips (or cheeks!). Works double duty for a glowing blush and a picture-perfect pout. The other shade is Razzlebbery which a pretty berry flush look to lips and cheeks.  These Lip & Cheek Sticks have a super-soft, creamy texture, with excellent pigmentation and a semi-matte finish. They’re blendable and buildable; you can be as subtle or bold as you like.  On cheeks, you can apply to bare skin or over foundation, BB/CC cream for a natural glow.

Another one of my favorites is the Mary Kay at Play Jelly Lip Glosses.  These colorful and vibrant glosses come in 5 different shades.  My favorites being Violet Vixen and Poppy Love.  This glosses do not leave a sticky feeling on your lips and make for an easy way to put some fun color on your lips on the go.

Like I said before I always strive for a casual, carefree makeup style during summer. It’s been fun to discover these Mary Kay products and how they work into summer makeup trends. You can find the products I’ve been using online at marykay.com or through an independent beauty consultant. Have you discovered what you love for summer makeup?

Happy Styling!!
